Well, I've been watching
While you've been coughing
I've been drinking life
While you've been nauseous
And so I drink to health
While you kill yourself
And I've got just one thing
That I can offer

Go on and save yourself
And take it out on me
Go on and save yourself
And take it out on me, yeah

I'm not a martyr
I'm not a prophet
And I won't preach to you
But here's a caution
You better understand
That I won't hold your hand
But if it helps you mend
Then I won't stop it

Go on and save yourself
And take it out on me
Go on and save yourself
And take it out on me
Go on and save yourself
And take it out on me
Go on and save yourself
And take it out on me, yeah

Drown, if you want
And I'll see you at the bottom
Where you crawl
On my skin
And put the blame on me
So you don't feel a thing

Go on and save yourself
And take it out on me
Go on and save yourself
And take it out on me
Go on and save yourself
And take it out on me
Go on and save yourself
And take it out on me, yeah

The song was named Cochise because of the native american indian person because of the riff. The guitarist said he thought this was a suitable name because of the energy of the song as a whole.

However, I don't think the lyrics have anything to do with American Indians.

wow I posted on here like 2 years ago. for any curious guitarists, its in standard tuning and for the intro he has a slap-back delay and is simply slapping the strings with his playing hand repeatedly. Look for the video on Letterman. He does the same thing in "Without a Face" on Evil Empire (RATM).Gorillaninja2k5 got the title. The band was interviewed on Fuse's Uranium ..and Chris explained the meaning of the song."Independent from the name, It's sort of about seeing people and you're life - when I say 'you' the singer is sort of like the narrator, and I don't always consider that guy to be me. Although I was in the video laughs. Seeing people in their lives just kind of meander into older age and not really growing, not becoming uh who they could be, and then they get bummed out about it. It's kind of...sometimes it's a mid-life crisis, sometimes it's like a mid-youth crisis, and, and, and the singer is like saying "See ya", and cutting the ties with that cause the singer is going off into a new world."

Cochise (c. 1812–June 9, 1874) was a chief of one of the bands of the Chiricahua Apache and the leader of an uprising that began in 1861. Cochise was a chief of central Chiricahua in the southwestern United States. Cochise was the most famous Apache leader to resist intrusions by whites during the 19th century.

    Song Meaning

This songs intro starts with a thunderstorm like rattle. This is before the storm happens. when the guitar riff kicks in thats when the storm has happend. the lyrics are written from a 3rd person perpective either being Cochise or God. The lyrics are bascilly saying i've been watching you commint crimes and be doing things you shouldnt be, you are killing yourself. from the perpective ( God or Cochise) is telling his people to save them selfs and to not blame it on him. But it's only you who can save yourself. Also in the ending he is saying " Drown if you will", reffering to death; die if you will or save yourself

Grand Theft Auto Insane Ian The way this song speaks to me🥺🥺when I sing it I feel like I relate Fast Car Tracy Chapman "Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time. Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri Hayalperest This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society. Cajun Girl Little Feat Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future.Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere"The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
